Guidance
New articles should follow the outlines here wherever possible. That said, there is no "one size fits all", and therefore clarity and accessibility should be the first priority.
Templates
Acute conditions
Pages related to conditions that present acutely (like ACS or an asthma exacerbation) should have the following structure, to hopefully give an organised approach for managing / clerking the patient in an A&E or acute assessment area. Have a look at the template for acute conditions
Chronic conditions
These should be written in a format for a patient being seen in an outpatient clinic appointment (or GP consultation). Please see the template for chronic conditions
Writing Guidance
Naming pages
- Pages should be named in lower case, with dashes (-) instead of spaces (eg acute-kidney-injury)
- Where possible, use the full name of a condition, rather than an acronym (eg systemic-lupus-erythematosus, not SLE)
